Pottery made after 1937 on the mainland, is marked "Catalina Pottery," or "Made in the USA." on Catalina Island pottery However, not all Catalina pottery is marked. Original pieces made on the island tend to have a slightly rougher look, a less consistent appearance in comparison with mainland pieces.
